i have a question about olive oil.
One company offers "Refined", "extra Virgin" and pomace.

what is the difference between Refined and Extra Virgin? and how would they affect my soap? They are the same price.

btw, here is a link to a list of soap making oils: http://home.windstream.net/familyjeans/propertiesofoils.html
    and this http://summerbeemeadow.com/content/properties-soapmaking-oils

Refined is a different way of saying pure grade. The refined is better for soap making but it isn't as good as Virgin, Extra for dipping bread.

thanks Andee. it sounds like evoo could be used in a small amount with no issues, in addition to refined oo.
i just popped it out of the millkyway molds so its harding up well. i'll slice the loaf later today. so i guess it will be ok, just take a few weeks longer to cure.
