Hello! I'm new to soapmaking and to this forum, but would LOVE to participate if that would be ok. Is there still room available?

Sheila, we still haven't met our maximum, so I'm sure this would be fine for you to join in. If you haven't read this whole thread, go ahead and read it and then you should have as much info as the rest of us.

You don't have to make soap for the swap, it can be anything bath & body-wise, with a summer or late summer, aka "Indian Summer" theme. The deadline is Sept. 1st, so time is running short! Most cp soap needs to be cured about 3 weeks, maybe if the transit time was included in the 3 weeks this would work.

YAY! One more for the swap!!!

So now I have confused myself. When I send in my soap is the box I use the one I will get back or do I need to supply boxes? I am sorry I don't mean to be dumb, I just over think things.

No, you just send me your box and we will send you a new box. Most boxes struggle with being shipped twice.

Would you all be offended if I changed my plan? I don't want to send soap LOL. I would rather send Hunny dust, it's good for your skin and it can be sort of romantic *wink*

    Hello,

If it is OK I am going to ship my soap tomorrow and include my address with the package. Will that work or should I post my address on the blog? Do I need to anything else besides putting the soap and money in the box and mailing it? It seems like I am missing something.

    Thanks,
    Catherine

    Catherine,

No need to post your address on the blog - though all of us are harmless, I'm sure, you can't be too careful...

Just send your swap items to Andee at the above address in Logan, Utah, with your return address on the box - and I think it would be an excellent idea to also include your return address INSIDE the box as well - "just in case."

I think that's what I will do - this is my very first swap, is anybody else getting excited?!? [Me, me!]

I hope this doesn't cause problems, but I am going to have to drop out of this swap. I REALLY, REALLY want to participate but this week has been my kids' county fair and we have just been so busy with that for the past couple of weeksand then school starting on Tuesday, just don't have any time to get anything made and sent out. So sorry for any inconvenience this is going to cause!

Now we send 9 right? I will have to send my stuff out tomorrow. In fact I have to make it tonight. School has started back up and that means the insanity that goes along with it has began as well.

    Lisa, Tara, and Susan,

I haven't received your packages yet. Have you placed them in the mail? I know that Susan said she would participate if she could make it.

Um, what's up, Ladies? Are we swapping? I sent my package back around the end of August, and we're running out of September now.

I'm not sure what you ladies would like me to do. I still only have 4 boxes. Do you want me to split these and send them back out, or do you want me to continue to wait?

I say split them and ban those who did not have enough courtesy to send their stuff. I know that I sound harsh, but when it is agreed upon, you should follow through or at least offer some sort of explanation as to why you didn't/couldn't.

Please send them out. I sent mine at the end of August so hopefully it didn't get lost in the mail.

    Thank you,
    Catherine
