I have seen things with wild ginseng on the drugstore shelf. What's the benefit of it in skin creams and lotions? This is ginseng season here in Tennessee and someone gave me a piece of root they dug out. I'd like to put it to good use somehow.

Has anyone ever done anything like this? And if so, what was your experience?

    Hi Chrima,

I am not sure if wild ginseng is the same as this one, but it could be worth to have a look (it's in French, you can use Google Translator):

Slice and dry for grinding later. If dry now, then grind and put in soap, masks or tea. Ginseng season is so cool!

For those that live in areas where ginseng grows, please remember this is most likely a protected plant in your state. Please check the laws before harvesting any ginseng on public lands.

    Cheers!
